How to create LiveChat integration with Telegram?

Create a bot in Telegram

To receive Telegram messages in LiveChat you need to create a bot. 

1. Connect to @BotFather bot in Telegram and press a Start button:

2. Type /newbot to register a new bot:

Note: choose your own bot name and username for the bot, as the ones below are already taken

3. Save the token - it will be used in the LiveChat app configuration. 

Setting up Telegramer in Livechat

Find Telegramer in LiveChat Marketplace and install the app.

In the app setting you should enter three credentials:

• your company name;
• contact e-mail;
• bot token that you've received from the @BotFather earlier

Then press Save 

That's it! Now you can test your integration:

• Search for your bot name in Telegram;
• Press /start
• Send any message;
• Check that a new chat has started in LiveChat;
• Reply from LiveChat
